About the Sennheiser A 2003-UHF

A passive antenna that covers 450 to 960 MHz in one paddle, which is wide enough to serve any UHF band a Sennheiser system will be operating in on an Australian site. It works in both directions: point it at the stage to receive bodypacks and handhelds, or use it as the transmit antenna for an in-ear system.

Passive means no power and no noise

There is no amplifier in it, so there is nothing to power, nothing to clip and nothing adding noise to the front end of the receiver. The 4 dBi of gain and better than 14 dB front-to-back come from the shape of the thing. Where the cable run to the antenna position is long enough to eat that gain, the answer is an inline booster or a shorter run, and we will tell you which the site needs.
