About the Radial Pro D2

Two channels of passive DI in a box built like a piece of road hardware. The Eclipse ET-DB2 transformer in each channel does the work: it balances the signal, isolates the ground and takes the hum out of a stage without needing power to do it. 128 dB of dynamic range and total harmonic distortion at 0.01 percent means it stays out of the way.

Passive is the right answer here

Nothing to power, nothing to fail, nothing to clip. With +18 dB of headroom at 20 Hz it takes the output of a keyboard or an amp speaker feed without complaint, and the 15 dB pad on each channel handles the sources that are hotter still. The pads are independent, so a stereo pair with mismatched levels can be sorted at the box.

Built for the floor

A two-piece 14 gauge steel chassis with a book-end outer shell that wraps the switches, which is what stops a foot or a road case from breaking them. 540 grams, and it will outlive most of the gear plugged into it.
