About the Electro-Voice EVERSE 12

The EVERSE 12 is the speaker you reach for when there is no power where the audience is. A 12 inch two-way box with a 400 W Class-D amplifier designed by Dynacord, an 86.4 Wh battery that holds a full event day, and an IP43 weatherized chassis that shrugs off a Gold Coast shower. It puts 126 dB in front of a crowd with nothing running to it but a shoulder strap.

What the battery actually gets you

Electro-Voice rates the pack at 6+ hours at maximum output and 12+ hours at moderate levels. In practice a speech-and-playback event runs a full day on one charge with headroom left. The unit also feeds 12 V DC out, which is enough to keep a wireless receiver alive alongside it, so an entire speech position can run cordless.

Weather, coverage and control

IP43 with the weatherized input cover fitted means splash and light rain are a non-event, which is what an outdoor booking on the coast actually needs. Coverage is 100 by 60 degrees, wide across the crowd and controlled vertically so less energy goes into the ceiling or the sky. Bluetooth carries both audio and control, so levels and EQ are adjustable from a phone via QuickSmart Mobile without walking back to the box.
