About the JAG IMX6A

Gain before feedback

A headset gets the capsule within a few centimetres of the mouth and keeps it there, which is worth far more gain before feedback than any polar pattern trick applied further away. That consistent distance is also why a headset holds level through a performance while a lapel rises and falls with every turn of the head.

Takes EQ well

It responds cleanly to shaping rather than fighting it, so an engineer can dial a voice in rather than working around the microphone. 153 dB of SPL handling means a projected theatrical voice at close range is nowhere near its limit.
