About the K&M 21337
A distance rod connects a satellite speaker to the subwoofer underneath it. What separates a good one from a bad one is play: a rod with any slop in the joint lets the top box rock, and a rocking box on a dance floor eventually becomes a box on the floor. K&M specify this one as zero backlash and absolute vertical, which is exactly the claim worth paying for.
Typical applications
- Satellite tops above subwoofers on dance floors and in function rooms
- Compact systems where a tripod's legs are in the way
- Sub-and-satellite pairs that have to look tidy in a photographed room
- Any stack that gets bumped by a crowd
Spring bolt and locking screw
The spring-loaded bolt sets the height in defined positions and the locking screw takes up the rest, which is what delivers the zero backlash. Between 905 mm and 1450 mm there is enough range to get a top box over a seated or a standing room.
