The grandMA1 Light is a compact, tour-grade lighting console from MA Lighting that delivers the full feature set of the grandMA1 platform in a significantly smaller and lighter form factor. Running the same software as the full-size grandMA1, it provides complete cross-compatibility within a grandMA network, making it equally at home as a standalone primary console on mid-scale productions or as a fully functional backup desk on larger touring rigs.

Standard operation supports 2,048 DMX channels across four universes, with an optional hardware upgrade chip extending capacity to 4,096 channels across eight universes, well suited to productions with growing fixture counts. The console’s 10 motorized faders, combined with 50 executor buttons spread across 128 pages, provide a deep and flexible playback surface without the physical footprint of a full-size wing.

The grandMA1 Light is built for the demands of professional live production. An integrated uninterruptible power supply (UPS) protects show data and maintains console operation during power interruptions, critical in live concert and broadcast environments where downtime is not an option. A built-in high-resolution TFT colour touch screen provides direct, intuitive access to programming functions, while two external SVGA outputs allow operators to connect additional monitors for expanded workspace visibility.

Networking via MA-Net enables multi-console and multi-user setups, allowing seamless session sharing between grandMA1 Light units or with full-size grandMA1 consoles. Protocol support for MIDI and SMPTE timecode makes it a strong choice for time-coded theatrical and broadcast productions. The console also supports up to six remote stations and integrates with grandMA 3D for real-time visualisation during pre-programming and offline prep.
