The grandMA1 Full-Size is the flagship console of MA Lighting’s grandMA1 series, a desk that defined a generation of large-scale production lighting control. At its core, the console provides 2,048 onboard DMX channels, expandable to 4,096 with additional hardware, and supports real-time control of up to 64 DMX universes when paired with grandMA Network Signal Processors (NSPs). Three internal high-resolution TFT colour touch screens provide a clear, responsive interface for programming and live operation, with two additional SVGA outputs available for external monitors, giving operators and programmers a flexible, multi-screen workspace suited to complex rigs.

Control Surface & Feature Set

The grandMA1 Full-Size features 20 motorized playback faders and 100 executor buttons (60 + 40 configuration), all accessible across 128 pages, providing enormous playback capacity without compromising the immediacy of hands-on control. The motorized faders respond dynamically to page changes, ensuring physical fader positions always reflect the active cue state, a critical feature in fast-moving live environments.

Control protocol support spans MA-Net, DMX, Art-Net, SMPTE timecode, and MIDI, enabling tight integration into complex show control systems, timecode-driven sequences, and multi-console networks.
