The Obsidian Control Netron EN6-IP is a professional-grade, IP66-rated Ethernet-to-DMX gateway designed for demanding outdoor and touring applications. Offering six individually configurable 5-pin XLR DMX/RDM output ports, the EN6-IP converts Art-Net and sACN network data to DMX512, making it a versatile node for distributed lighting systems where network infrastructure needs to terminate at the fixture level.

The IP66-rated powder-coated aluminium enclosure provides robust protection against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets, allowing confident deployment in exposed festival sites, outdoor stages, and permanent architectural installations. Neutrik Ethercon connectors on both network ports ensure secure, reliable connections under touring conditions, with one port supporting Power over Ethernet (PoE), eliminating the need for a local mains feed when a PoE-capable switch is available.

Features & Performance

Each of the six DMX universes can be independently configured via the onboard 1.8″ OLED display and waterproof touch buttons, allowing direct node setup without a laptop or external software. Full RDM (Remote Device Management) support across all ports enables two-way communication for fixture discovery, addressing, and diagnostics, a significant advantage on large-scale rigs where minimising physical access to fixtures saves considerable time.

The dual-feed power architecture, accepting both standard AC mains (100–240V, 50/60Hz) and PoE, gives production and installation teams genuine flexibility in how and where the unit is deployed. At a maximum draw of just 6W, it is an efficient choice even in battery-backed or generator-supplemented power environments common to outdoor events.
