About the Obsidian Control Netron EN4

The Obsidian Control Netron EN4 is a compact, professional-grade Ethernet-to-DMX gateway offering four independently configurable DMX512-A universes via 5-pin XLR ports. Each port can be set as either an input or output, allowing flexible signal routing to suit complex lighting network topologies. Supporting Art-Net, sACN (E1.31), and RDM (E1.20), the EN4 integrates cleanly into modern network-based lighting control systems built around consoles, media servers, and distributed dimmer racks.

Network & Power Flexibility

The EN4 features two RJ45 EtherCon ports for reliable network connectivity, with one port supporting Power over Ethernet (PoE), eliminating the need for a local mains supply in installations where PoE switching infrastructure is available. Where mains power is preferred, the unit accepts AC 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz with a maximum draw of just 5W, making it an efficient node in any fixed or temporary rig. A 1.8″ OLED display provides at-a-glance status monitoring, while a web-based configuration interface allows full remote management without needing physical access to the unit.

Touring & Installation Ready

Built into a powder-coated aluminium half-rack housing, the EN4 is equally suited to permanent venue installations and fast-turnaround touring rigs. Its compact footprint and sub-1 kg weight make it easy to rack-mount, truss-mount, or position close to dimmer racks and LED driver units on stage, reducing cable runs and simplifying signal distribution across large festival rigs, theatrical fits-up, corporate events, and broadcast/film lighting setups.
