About the Showven Kabuki Drop

The Showven Kabuki Drop is a compact electromagnetic release unit built for the moment your show needs to land. Hang it from a truss, load it with up to 20 kg, throw the switch, and your drape, banner, or balloon array drops on cue. No motors, no complex programming, just a direct on/off system that’s as reliable as a light switch and twice as theatrical.

How it works

An electromagnet inside the housing holds your release strap or kabuki clip. Power on and it grips. Power off and it lets go. The release is instant and silent, so the audience sees the drop before they hear anything. Each unit ships with truss clamps included and uses a PowerCON TRUE1 TOP chassis connector for fast, locking power runs across multi-unit installs.

Built for live

The unit is housed in a road-grade chassis at 1 kg dry weight, light enough to fly safely on any truss span without eating into your fixture budget, robust enough for the touring circuit. The 110–240 V universal input means it travels internationally without a transformer, and the 30 W draw is negligible across even a packed rig.
